HeartX is a social messaging application for adults aged 18 or older. By registering an account, you represent and warrant that:
Important: HeartX is intended for adult users only. Users under 18 are not permitted to register or use this application. We take the safety of minors seriously and actively enforce this restriction.
Parents & Guardians: If your child is under 18 or has created an account without your consent, please do not allow them to use HeartX and contact us at safety@heartx.app to request account removal.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your account details up to date. All activity occurring under your account is your responsibility, including any actions taken by third parties with or without your authorization.
You must notify us immediately at support@heartx.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
HeartX is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment. You agree not to use the service to engage in, promote, or facilitate any of the following:
HeartX facilitates direct, end-to-end peer-to-peer communication between users. Messages are transmitted directly between devices and are not routed through or stored on any central server under our control. As such:
You retain ownership of any content you send through HeartX. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and transmit your content solely as necessary to deliver messages between users.
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to any content you send and that such content does not violate these Terms or any applicable law.
While HeartX does not employ traditional content moderation (due to its peer-to-peer architecture), we take reports of abuse seriously. If you experience or witness behavior that violates these Terms — including harassment, illegal content, or contact from individuals who may be minors engaging in inappropriate ways — please report it to us at safety@heartx.app.
We reserve the right to investigate reported behavior and take action, including terminating accounts, as appropriate.
HeartX is intended for adult users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to register or use this service.
We rely on self-reported age during registration. While we implement basic safeguards, we cannot independently verify a user's age. Parents and guardians are encouraged to ensure their children do not access HeartX.

Termination of an account will result in the deletion of locally stored account data. We will make reasonable efforts to remove account information but cannot guarantee deletion of data that has already been transmitted to other users' devices.
HeartX is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HeartX and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, make reasonable efforts to notify users (for example, via an in-app notice).
Continued use of HeartX after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the service and delete your account.
